How Aquathirst looks after your information. Last updated September 2026.
Aquathirst UK Ltd is the data controller for the personal information we collect through this site and through our subscription and delivery services. This notice explains what we collect, why we collect it, and your rights under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Questions? Email us at AquathirstUk@outlook.com.
1.What we collect
Contact details (name, email, phone, delivery address), subscription plan and payment mandate reference, and any communication you have with our team. For website visits we collect basic analytics (page views, referrer, coarse location) and, where applicable, marketing-attribution information from your consented cookies.
2.Why we use it
To set up and run your subscription, take payment, arrange deliveries and service visits, respond to your enquiries, keep accurate accounting records, and improve our service. We rely on the lawful bases of contract (to provide the service you asked for) and legitimate interests (to run and improve the business).
3.Verification and eligibility checks
Before we accept a subscription application (see clause 4 of our Subscription Terms), we may undertake reasonable verification and eligibility checks. These may include identity verification, address verification, fraud-prevention checks and creditworthiness checks against publicly available information and the databases of reputable third-party verification, credit- reference and fraud-prevention providers.
Where we do so, information you have supplied at sign-up (name, address, date of birth if requested, company details for business accounts) may be shared with those providers so they can carry out the check and return a result to us. The purpose of these checks is to assess the risk of setting up an account, providing the service and placing equipment at your premises, and to help us prevent fraud.
We do not name individual providers here to avoid stale information; on written request we will tell you which provider(s) we used in respect of your specific application and what information was shared.
4.Who we share it with
We only share personal data with third parties where necessary to run the service — including payment processing (Stripe), delivery logistics, accounting software (Xero / QuickBooks) and the verification providers described in section 3. We do not sell your personal data.
5.How long we keep it
Subscription and billing records are kept for as long as they are needed to run the account, plus a further six years after the account closes to meet HMRC record-keeping requirements. Verification-check results are kept only as long as necessary to justify the decision made and are then deleted or aggregated.
6.Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or request deletion of the personal data we hold about you, subject to any legal obligations we have to retain records. You can also object to or restrict certain processing, and lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
To exercise any of these rights, email AquathirstUk@outlook.com.
