Cambridge at a glance
A major centre
Cambridge is the UK's leading life-sciences and tech research cluster, with major biotech and software employers concentrated around the Science Park and Granta Park. We supply workplace refreshment across the city and the surrounding Cambridgeshire research corridor.
Aquathirst supplies and services workplace water systems, coffee machines and vending across the South East and the Midlands from our Watford yard. We have offices in Cambridge as part of our regular Cambridgeshire routes. The local commercial mix includes life sciences and biotech, software and ai, higher education employers across the main business districts.
Cambridge sites
Water for science-park and campus offices
A large share of Cambridge office space sits on science parks and research campuses, where buildings mix offices, labs and shared amenity areas. Drinking-water equipment belongs in the office, welfare and break-out spaces, so the survey starts by agreeing positions with the site or facilities team.
Multi-tenant buildings often have a shared kitchen per floor. A mains-fed cooler or 4-in-1 tap in each kitchen, serviced on one visit and billed to one account, is the most common setup we quote for.

What we install
The full range for Cambridge offices
Mains-fed water coolers
Plumbed-in coolers and 4-in-1 taps for chilled, ambient, sparkling and hot filtered water from the mains. The most common pick for Cambridge offices with accessible plumbing. Multi-stage carbon and scale-reduction filter, changed every six months on scheduled service.
Bottle-fed water coolers
British spring water in 19-litre bottles, delivered on a schedule that suits usage. For Cambridge sites where mains plumbing is not practical (heritage buildings, short-lease space, mezzanine offices).
Office water boilers and 4-in-1 boiling taps in Cambridge
A commercial boiling water tap replaces the office kettle entirely. Single-action 100°C dispenser with a child-safe lock, delivered to your under-sink area and plumbed in by our own engineer. For a full 4-in-1 setup we combine boiling with chilled, ambient and sparkling. The neatest single-fixture solution for a Cambridge office kitchen.
- All-inclusive monthly rental: installation, filter changes, servicing and breakdown support included. No callout charges. Fixed quote after a free site survey.
- Install timing: your quote sets out installation timing for Cambridge sites, and we book the day with you.
- Running cost: modest electricity use, and no kettle to keep reboiling through the day.
- Safety: child-safe lock on every model, fitted and demonstrated by the installing engineer.

Bean-to-cup machines supplied and serviced alongside your water systems on one contract and one visit. Bundled with water and vending for Cambridge sites that want the whole workplace refreshment offer on one Direct Debit.

Why local matters in Cambridge
An engineer within reach, not a helpdesk queue
We are family-run from Watford, with our own engineers on regular Cambridgeshire routes. When a cooler breaks or a boiling tap starts leaking, the call goes to our own team, not to a national ticket queue. The repair is booked onto our Cambridgeshire route.
Aquathirst handles every install and every callout with our own directly employed engineers. We do not subcontract. When you compare suppliers for Cambridge, it is worth asking who will actually attend your site.
Frequently asked
Cambridge office water. The questions we get most
Do you supply offices on Cambridge science parks?
Yes. We supply mains-fed coolers, boiling and 4-in-1 taps and coffee machines for offices and amenity areas on Cambridge science parks and research campuses, and agree equipment positions with the site team at survey.
Can you work with a landlord or facilities manager in a multi-tenant Cambridge building?
Yes. Plumbing work in multi-tenant buildings usually needs landlord or facilities sign-off. We provide the equipment specification and install method in advance and agree who holds the contract before anything is fitted.

Installation, servicing, filter changes and breakdown cover included, no per-callout charges. Fixed quote after a free site survey.
What does an office cooler cost per month in Cambridge?
We quote per site. The price depends on the format, the plumbing, the number of dispense points and the servicing spec.
